Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Lucient Studios ("we") handles through this website and how. Lucient Studios operates in Israel; for our business details, write to [email protected].

What this website collects

This website has no user accounts, no advertising and no cookies. We count visits with our own statistics tool, without cookies and without storing IP addresses, as described below.

  • The project brief form. If you fill in the form at /start, we receive what you enter: your name and email address and, if you choose to give them, your phone number, business name, website and the details of your project. You are not required by law to give us any of this; name, email and the project description are needed only so we can reply, and everything else is optional. We use this information only to answer you and prepare a proposal. To handle it, the form's answers are delivered to a private channel in our workspace on Discord (Discord Inc., USA), which processes them on our behalf, and kept in our internal client-management system, which only the team members handling your enquiry can access.
  • Email you send us. If you write to [email protected], we receive your email address, name and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply and, if you hire us, to provide our services. Please don't send sensitive information (for example health or financial details) by email.
  • Visit statistics. To improve the site, we count visits with our own tool, on our own servers: which pages and which edition of the site you visited, how long and how far down you read each page, which website you came from, your type of device, browser and operating system, your country (from your IP address, which is not stored), and how far you got in the brief form, without anything you typed in it. Instead of a fixed identifier we keep a random code that changes every day, so you can't be identified or followed from one day to the next. Only our management sees this data, and it is deleted after 13 months. If your browser asks not to be tracked (Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track), you are not counted at all.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider may record technical data such as IP address, browser type and request time, for security and to keep the site running.

Cookies and browser storage

We do not set cookies. The site keeps a few technical entries in your browser. They contain no personal information, are never sent to us, and are not used to track you:

  • Opening animation. Remembers when you saw it, so it doesn't play again for the next three days.
  • Scroll position. If you reload the page, you return to where you were. Deleted when you close the tab.
  • Holiday greeting. If you close the greeting shown at the bottom of the page on special days, we remember it until you close the tab.
  • Visit number. A random number for the visit statistics, so we know which pages were seen in the same visit. Deleted when you close the tab, and replaced after 30 minutes without activity.
  • Brief draft. What you fill in on the brief form is kept in your browser for up to a week, so you don't lose it if you leave halfway. It isn't sent to us until you press "Send brief", and it is deleted once the brief is sent or when you choose "Start over". After sending, your first name and email are kept until you close the tab, to show them on the thank-you page.
  • Accessibility settings. Saved only if you change a setting in the accessibility menu, so your choice is kept on your next visit. Choosing "Reset" in the menu removes it.

Because these entries are strictly necessary for features you use, no cookie consent is required. Fonts and images are served from our own domain; the site does not load content from third parties. Links to our social profiles open those services in a new tab, where their own privacy policies apply.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business (for example email, hosting and Discord, as described above), or where the law requires it. Some of these providers store information outside Israel.

Marketing

We will not send you marketing messages without your prior consent.

Retention

We keep correspondence and form answers only as long as needed to handle your enquiry or project and to meet legal obligations.

Your rights

Under the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981 (and the GDPR, where it applies) you may ask to see the information we hold about you and to have it corrected or deleted. Write to [email protected]. You may also complain to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
